Hey Everyone! I don't know how everyone's watching Sherlock, so I thought I'd make a page here where we can discuss season 3 as it airs in the UK as opposed to talking about it on the boards.
If there's anyone who hasn't seen season 3 who'd like to comment here, just say and we'll hide our spoilers. But in the meantime ... The game is back on!

AHHHH I AM SO HAPPY TO HAVE THIS
I don't trust anyone outside of the AV Club to discuss media with, because I'm scared it's going to end up troll-filled and terrible. So this is perfect, and thank you so much for creating this space.
"F'cough" is clearly the front-runner for the best clever semi-Bowlderization of 2014, as specific as that category may be. I practically hooted with laughter at the line.
Overall, the 'solution' to the bomb felt both a bit cheesy and terribly realistic at the same time. It was obvious that Sherlock was laughing, of course, but it was nice to see him acting in a more human manner than he has in the past, and having a bit more softness with both John and his brother (as much of a giant cock as he may have been.)
I loved the pacing, I loved the headfake at the beginning (Just as I was getting around to really objecting to the cheese-factor of the hypnotist, BOOM, Lestrade voices my concerns.) Generally, all I can do is gush with praise and hope that someone smarter than me gives me a little more to talk about than fanning in my pants.
Also, please do feel free to edit the shit out of this if someone comes in who wants to avoid spoilers. And thanks again for the space!

Whoop! Sherlock!
It was definitely the most fun I've had watching an episode. I think the reunion with John might be some of the best stuff the show has done, character wise. I do wonder if Johns voice in Sherlocks head whilst investigating with Molly might be more than a simple "I miss him" thing. I've a feeling the events with Moriarty took a bigger toll on Sherlock than he likes to admit. I enjoyed the addition of Mary to the cast too. I'm hoping Moffat doesn't go all Doctor Who on this and kill her in episode 3 just for the sake of it. I loved how she was so accepting of Sherlock and Johns relationship, even pushing John to get back involved. So yeah, great episode that I'd give at least a B+ but more likely an A- too.
Oh, and Sherlocks parents are Cumberbatch's parents, which is awesome.
And apparently next week Sherlock has to give a best mans speech at Johns wedding. Which I'm pretty sure I will watch endlessly.

I was spending most of Sherlock and John reuniting saying "Why aren't you telling him that his life was being threatened?".
I'm pretty sure I'd classify that as the funniest episode, though the humour could have just stood out more due to the meta-ness.

Ok, now that series 3 has finished airing, RANKINGS!
The Empty Hearse: B. Probably the weakest of the season. Jim/Sherlock, forever! The Sign of the Three: A. Despite the off canon reveal at the end, one of the most entertaining episodes the show has ever made. Hudders! His Last Vow: A-. Some issues, probably the weakest finale which is astounding considering how great it is. Also nice to see the many canon references. Did you miss it?
Series 3 overall: A-. My episode rankings average out to around a B+, but it was a great tonal/character shift for the show so I'm bumping it up a notch.
So, where does series 3 fit in with the show?
Series 1 overall: B+. The Great Game makes up for the faults of The Blind Banker. Series 2 overall: A. I consider A Scandal in Belgravia to be the weakest episode of that season, but the Moriarty arc drives the show incredibly well for me to again bump my episode average up to an A from an A-.
That means, 2 > 3 > 1.
Episode order:
TRF > TSotT > TGG > HLV > THotB > ASiP > ASiB > TEH > TBB.
It looks like they're hoping to film season 4 over the summer and getting it to air around Christmas. Wouldn't that be great!
