Oooo the new Dismemberment Plan album is actually good eh? Critics seem to dislike it but I've noticed a contingency who really like it as well. I think I'll check it out soon.

Oooo the new Dismemberment Plan album is actually good eh? Critics seem to dislike it but I've noticed a contingency who really like it as well. I think I'll check it out soon. It's good, but it's not great. I gave it a B when it came out (hey, remember AV Club grading? *sigh*), but it pales in comparison to Emergency & I and Change. But then again, I think those two are stone cold classics. Uncanney is missing that spastic, anxious energy that made those albums so great. But there's still some damn good tracks on it like "Daddy Was a Real Good Dancer", "Waiting", and "Invisible". Ultimately I think it will end up somewhere near the bottom of my top 20. |

Cool cool cool. I actually did listen to it the other day and I think my reaction was about the same as your's. I don't see it cracking my top 30 but it's solid stuff.
