The Boss!
Album ranking (best song in parentheses): 1. Born in the USA ("Glory Days") 2. Born to Run ("Thunder Road") 3. The River ("The River") 4. The Wild, the Innocent and the E Street Shuffle ("Rosalita (Come Out Tonight)") 5. Darkness on the Edge of Town ("Badlands") 6. Greetings from Asbury Park, N.J. 7. Nebraska
Need to listen to those last two albums more than once and still a number of others I need to hear.

Listening to "The River" again and this is a pretty perfect song. Definitely in my top 5 of his, I think.

I personally find it maybe his most lyrically powerful.

I heard The Boss' "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" on the radio. Haunting, and deeply poignant.
