I'm still addicted to it, though the bloom is off the rose a bit now that I've run into just about every random encounter at least once. As I write this I've unlocked exactly half the layouts (Kestrel A/B, Engi A/B, Slug A/B, Zoltan A/B, and Stealth A). Generally I find that the most pleasurable experience in the game is playing through with a brand new ship or layout and getting used to the unique way it functions.
I have yet to beat the Flagship, though to be fair I usually get intimidated and just start a new game when I get to Sector 8. I find the roguelike bits that come before more fun than knuckling down and trying to defeat the boss, and I've been thinking of installing the Ininite Space mod for a bit to see how I like it. I want to defeat the flagship at least once first though.
Is anybody else still playing the game? Got any fun stories from it, or thoughts on its design and very nature?
